The Early College Academy is an opportunity for New Kent High School students to take dual-enrollment courses to earn their Associates Degree concurrently with their high school diploma. This opportunity was created through a partnership between New Kent County Public Schools and Rappahannock Community College.
The intent of the Early College Academy is to provide academically competitive students a rigorous program enabling them to earn 61 college credits that meet general education requirements, build long-lasting friendships with fellow members of this highly motivated cohort, and create a network of supportive college professionals.
Students in the program take part in course work on both the New Kent High School campus and the Rappahannock Community College Campus. Since the dual enrollment courses are offered jointly through New Kent High School and Rappahannock Community College, all applicants should complete the Dual Enrollment Application as well as the Intent to Apply form.
