All parents of school-aged children with disabilities who receive special education services in Virginia are requested to complete the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Annual Special Education Parent Involvement Survey.

English Parent Survey

Spanish Parent Survey

This survey will remain open through December 11th, 2026. Please complete one survey for each of your children currently receiving special education services during the 2025-2026 school year.

Respondents are encouraged to complete the survey online, as this is the preferred method of submission. For families who prefer a paper version, printed copies of both the English Parent Survey and the Spanish Parent Survey are available on the VDOE Special Education for Families webpage. Families choosing the paper option must mail their completed surveys to the VDOE using the address listed on the survey.

Important note for families with multiple children: If you have more than one child receiving special education services through IEPs in Virginia's public schools, please submit one survey for each child. A security feature within the survey submission process requires a different Internet browser or device when multiple online surveys are submitted.
