Real-Time Communication Between Home and School

New Kent County Public Schools is excited to introduce FinalSite Chat, a new feature that enables real-time, two-way messaging between families and teachers to strengthen school-home partnerships.

Getting Started with FinalSite Chat

The first time you open the app or chat web browser, you will be prompted to log in.

How to Log In:

• Faculty & Students: Use your NKCPS Google account credentials
• Parents & Guardians:
  • Use the email address on file in PowerSchool
  • Select "Forgot Password" to create one – An email to reset your password will come from @donotreply.com

Note: If you previously downloaded the NKCPS app, ensure that you have the most up-to-date version, then go to the app homepage and select the gear icon in the top right corner to log in.

Two Ways to Access FinalSite Chat

Option 1: Mobile App

1. Download, open, and log into the NKCPS (VA) app
2. Navigate to the Chats icon in the bottom toolbar
3. Access chat rooms and direct messages

Option 2: Web Browser

1. Visit your school's chat URL: https://www.newkentschools.org/fs/chat/
2. Log in with your credentials
3. Access the same chat features directly in your browser
