New Kent County Public Schools is pleased to share an exciting leadership opportunity with one of our regional partners in education, Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies (MLWGS), located in Richmond, Virginia. The Regional School Board is currently accepting applications for the position of Executive Director, with an anticipated start date of July 1st, 2025.

MLWGS is a nationally recognized regional public high school known for its rigorous academic programs and commitment to developing future leaders. The school's vision emphasizes lifelong learning, ethical leadership, and a celebration of diverse cultures.

The Executive Director will lead a high-performing, multi-division public school serving students from 12 participating localities, including New Kent County. This position requires an experienced educational leader with a strong background in gifted education, high school administration, and instructional leadership.
