Connect Parent Portal for Virginia IEP
New Kent County Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of the Connect Parent Portal for Virginia IEP, a new feature designed to make it easier for parents and guardians to access and manage their child’s special education documents online. This enhancement, supported by the Virginia Department of Education and powered by Public Consulting Group’s EDPlan platform, began on August 18th, 2025.
What is the Connect Parent Portal?
The portal acts as a secure, virtual file cabinet, giving parents remote access to their student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and related documents. Through Connect, parents and guardians can:
- View IEPs, eligibility decisions, progress reports, and evaluation reports.
- Respond to documents and provide electronic signatures.
- Access information about services and case managers.
How It Works
Whenever a new document requires review or signatures, parents and guardians will receive email notifications from NoReply-VirginiaIEP@doe.virginia.gov. Each email includes a link to the login page. After clicking the link, parents and guardians can choose to receive an access code by email, text message, or phone call. This secure process eliminates the need for usernames or passwords.
Navigation Features
Once logged in, parents can use six tabs:
- My Info – Review contact information on file.
- To Do List – View and respond to pending documents.
- Completed Actions – See documents you’ve already signed.
- Service Info – Access eligibility and service details.
- Documents – Browse all student documents by school year.
- Case Manager – Find contact information for your child’s case manager.
