Mrs. Jones is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She went to New York for her higher education and stayed to begin her career in education in Brooklyn, NY.  Mrs. Jones received her B.S. degree from Brooklyn College and her Masters from Long Island University in Brooklyn. Mrs. Jones is currently a candidate in the PhD program at Virginia Tech. Mrs. Jones began her career in education as a classroom teacher in social studies and mathematics. Mrs. Jones has been the principal at New Kent High School for 6 years. She came to New Kent from the Williamsburg James City County school system. When she is not involved in school activities, Mrs. Jones enjoys traveling, reading and walking. Her favorite exotic destination is Thailand. It holds a special attraction for her because that is also where she met her husband. Mrs. Jones is the mother of two very fine sons. Mrs. Jones loves mystery novels and her favorite author is Mary Higgins Clark. When time permits, she loves to watch college basketball. She is an avid Jets fan and still keeps faith with the NY Knicks.
